Provided strategic planning and facilitation services to the Canadian Association Midwives. We assisted the organization in developing a statement of purpose and goals designed to focus the Association’s activities as they consolidate their new organization and continue to lobby for legislative changes at both the provincial and federal governmental levels.
"Your skills enabled our diverse group to create an important fundamental statement that describes why we exist. An excellent start for our new organization."
Kim Campbell, President - Canadian Association of Midwives
Provided strategic planning and facilitation services to the BC College of Midwives over the past few years. Most recently, the organization completed a full review of its original strategic plan. This process included the evaluation of the mission statement, goals and strategies, the development or amendment of goals and strategies and the creation of an action plan. All facilitation and documentation related to the amended strategic plan was provided by IC Possibilities Consulting Inc.
In earlier years, Creative Planning Dialogues sessions were facilitated to further the development of the policy and operational base of the organization. Sessions involved all College membership including 12 remote sites participating via phone hook-up.
"We were very happy with the Strategic Planning sessions that Ian facilitated for our health regulatory board. He is organized in his approach, respectful of all the players and mindful of the values of the organization he is working with. He helped us to focus on what is practical and doable in the short and medium term while keeping the big picture and our long term goals in mind.
Ian also facilitated a members’ forum for us that included bringing a number of members from around the province into discussions via teleconference. He skillfully ensured that everyone’s voice was heard and that the feedback was organized in a way that was easy to follow up.."
Jane Kilthei, Registrar and Executive Director, BC College of Midwives
