Anna Curtin, RN, BSN, M.Ed.

Anna has put into practice her belief that the Profession of Nursing should encourage effective interpersonal relationships to aid the patient’s experience of healing and health. She has assisted nurses to become more instrumental in developing the kinds of health organizations nurses would like to work in and that would most benefit their patients.

Anna Curtin is an experienced facilitator with an extensive background in the health sector. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Victoria, British Columbia. Anna has also received training in humanistic psychology and counselling at pdSeminars on Gabriola Island, British Columbia and has a Counsellor Traiing Progam Certificate from the Pacific Centre Family Services Association.

Anna has over 21 years of professional nursing experience, specializing in perinatal nursing and development of curriculum to include state of the art teaching methods. Four years ago she developed and implemented the first Camosun College Nursing Department Field School in the Kingdom of Tonga. Currently Anna sits on the Curriculum Committee, the Aboriginal Access Committee and mentors new faculty.

She is skilled in providing experiential learning.

Anna has been specializing in facilitating workshops focussing on buidling effective relationships. She trains health care workers to communicate more clearly and encourages people to use their curiosity and creativity to work together more effectively and achieve better results.
